What would be nice is to see those who flock here, spend 5 minutes entering 2 comps then complain when they haven't won, actually put some effort in. Actually, it would be nice to see some regs do the same.

This board is no longer how it was when I started. I know the whole thing has changed and more people are doing it, but there are still comps out there. Just people being selfish and not sharing with others that do. I understand not everyone has time to post, but a quick link somewhere in compers chat and someone will post it up. I've seen posts on facebook with winners names being announced, after the end of the comp, from people I know use this site.

People need to stop being so greedy!
    Thanks to all posters :A

Some folks also do things without shouting about it ;)

I found a new C2W series yesterday and sent a PM to Laura who then added it to her list :T

I know some folks (including myself) don't post comps, but we try to help out where we can, even if that is just giving advice on CCC :)

I think the MSE newsletter should also have pointed out that the comper who won the £40k bundle would have had to pay £2 per entry into that competition.... yes you might be lucky and win on your first attempt, but surely a money-saving website should not be headlining a comp that is pay-to-enter ?

tbh I think ppl sometimes get a little put off posting new comps because if they do a little thing wrong some people can be quite rude about it.

I don't go looking for comps to post, just post them if I come across any.... I can think of a fair few valued forum members that make the forum a better place but don't post competitions all the time.

... speaking of competitions I really should go enter some as i've not done any all day :eek:
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I've gone to post a couple of comps, but then found the competition already posted, but it's taken me at least four searches to find it.

The search is awful now, when before it would bring up the post. Now it's not.

With so many competitions on Facebook and Twitter the newly attracted may be busy enough without joining the forum.

Not being funny, but has anybody else noticed that a few people have joined the site and on the comp posts are writing things like 'would love to win', etc, etc? It's going to get a bit tiresome with all the thread bumping.
I agree with you lot on here, we are going to get folk coming on complaining that they have entered 4 comps this month and won nowt.
I also agree that the comp thread is pants when it comes to searching now. The time posting about the comps on the newsletter might have been better spent improving the actual forum in the first place. Ah well, back to the grind ;)

The love to win and new user bumps are generally to get post count up so they can post spam links elsewhere on forum.

Often at 6am forum is littered with buy a kitchen posts spam.

Funny they did not mention the fish slice, single bar of chocolate, and £5 shop voucher wins.
