I don't know what CASS is? My husband would use an old account from another bank to switch to a flex direct. I would then also use an old bank account to switch to a flex plus. I would then have my flex direct to use on another banks offer of switch in the future.
OK, that's alright then, it just wasn't clear from what you initially wrote.

They won't be friends for long when only the first referrer gets £100!
You can be referred once in your lifetime and refer up to five people per 12months with Nationwide RAF.
I got referred by two people after Nationwide wouldn't validate the first referrer so asked another friend still within the 90 day period.
Then Nationwide credited the first referrer after all. There followed a lot of tense to and fro between myself and the two referrers about who 'deserved' the money! Of course they both did. The first friend said he'd pass on the money to the second. Except when the money was in his account he decided 'actually I think I deserve it'.
Second friend had virtually spent the money in her head and wasn't happy. I was going to give my £100 to her. I had all the work, they were waiting for 'their' cash.
Finally got Nationwide to admit their error and they paid out both 'friends' eventually. Would I do it again? No!;)0 -
@YP Thanks. Out of curiosity, and to avoid a possible repeat, what was their basis for non validation?

I was able to switch to Halifax with only one direct debit (I have added a second one- to pay off credit card in full each month). They paid the £100 switching bonus.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
