Are you sure that's it's an additional £60 they want or is that the total cost and the £19 will be taken off it? I think their website says the price can be up to £59 which means you would need to pay another £40 to unlock.

    Unfortunately not,
    From the email today:

Thankyou for pre-ordering your unlock from OfficialiPhoneUnlock. We are pleased to inform you that the unlock for your iPhone 7, previously locked to Vodafone UK, is now ready.

To release the unlock for your device which will be sent Over The Air using either 3G, WiFi or by connecting the iPhone to a computer running iTunes, you will need to pay the remaining unlocking balance (as stated on the website before purchase) which is £59.99. Delivery to your iPhone takes 1-20 days, as soon as it has delivered we will email you.

When ordering I don't remember ever seeing this additional fee, maybe I missed it

Hopefully google picks up this thread about the scam that https://www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk/ pull and it acts as a future warning.

At least you'll have more protection if you now go through eBay.

Though they've been pulling this scam for at least 4 years.

OP if you get a free PAYG SIM from Vodafone and use it for 30 days you'd be able to fill out their unlocking form yourself.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.
