would you buy house next to Pub

We have seen a house we like only problem it's near a pub..
The house is right next to a car park used for chiltern mills and Mecca Bingo that's on the other side of the road further down. Then next to the car park you have another car park for the pub and then the pub?
Would you live next door to a car park and then a pub?

Don't worry it'll probably be a Tesco express soon!I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

Mortgage lenders don't like them either, so you (or any future purchaser) may have trouble financing it even if you don't mind.0

Not a chance. How big is the car park? Does it get locked at night? Any chance of it being used by kids messing about in cars? Is there a lot of litter?0

Might want to add a poll.
Nope - definitely not for me. Noise, cars, people weeing up your fence/door, glasses left outside, no thanks. That's just the pub. Definitely wouldn't live next to any car park. Major issues with retail warehouse car parks/land near to where I live with boy racers (they don't see themselves as that and I've had 'interesting' conversations on a local site with some of them!) doing donuts/racing, etc. They see it as 'not doing anyone any harm' and 'it's just my hobby' and loads of other selfish excuses. Also just the general issue of people hanging around car parks - they never seem like safe places to me after dark (maybe I've just watched too many horror films).
Besides all that, lots of pubs are closing down only to be replaced with flats. If there's additional land, who knows what might end up there.

PS Just to add - someone must choose to! If it's £££s cheaper than similar properties, you may pick up a larger house for a bargain. As above, your lender may not agree.
Also be wary about it being a drive-thru McDonalds, etc eventually!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
No. Places like that are usually bought to be rented out ... to people with chaotic lives who probably see the pub as a "bonus".0

Yes, if I liked the house I'd be perfectly happy next to a pub.
I don't think it would be too bad if it was a gastro-pub type place. If it was a 24-hour bar then you might have more problems.
Any noise issues / litter problems would be taken into account in the price I'd be prepared to pay for the property.0 -

I too would have less issues if it were a foody pub or I knew it. But then these things can change easily and pubs are often empty these days which isn't ideal either. It's the mecca bingo car park I'd be more concerned about. I've yet to see one in an area I'd consider nice.0
