Mobile phone question

Apologies for posting in this section but i need some technical advice. If someone takes a UK Tesco mobile phone with them to UAE and you phoned the number without dialing an international code, should the phone ring or should it go straight onto answer machine mode? IMHO it should go straight into voicemail mode without the phone ringing as if you are in an "out of area" location. Is there any way I can trace the location of the phone? This is quite important and your views would be appreciated. We may have a elderley relative that has gone missing. Thanks.

Comments

  • The phone should ring but will sound like an engaged tone. Unless the person has set up a 'no incoming call bar' or has one on their account as standard. You won't have to dial an international code either.
