Have I shot myself in the foot.
Contract was up for renewal and I have been hanging on waiting for vodafone to get the 6230i in and they got them today. Initially I wanted 200 xnet, I am currently on 100 xnet on a retention tarrif for £15 plus 50 free texts.
I was also interested in the stop the clock, prior to speaking to retention I was told that I could have 75 mins with stop the clock for £20, so I would lose my retention tarrif and free text.
After speaking to retention, I came away with 75 mins xnet, 50 free text for life of contract or until I change contract, 6230i for free and free bluetooth headset (i think a jabra 250) for £20 per month.
I am now worrying that 75 mins a month is not going to be enough, I tend to make my calls throughout the day and its generally when I am out, I don't use my mobile at home unless I am ringing another mobile and then I tend to use my husbands because he has 200mins a month and free 2 min calls to home so he rarely uses more than about 15 mins a month.
my usage in the last year has been as follows.
Mins left at monthly invoice
June 04 (3)
Jul (12)
Aug all used and call charges £22
Sep " " £8
Oct " " £9
Nov " " £9
Dec (125)
Jan (139)
Feb (170)
Mar (133)
Apr all used call charges £46
May all used call charges £3
So guidance is needed, my new phone is due to arrive on Mon. I believe I have seven days to change my mind. Also wondering whether any mins left over from this month would they be rolled over on to start of new contract.
Thanks for your help

You must be joking - 75 minutes a month?
You'll run through that like *click* and then you'll get charged an extortionate amount once you run outta minutes...

You still have a couple of days to really think about your new contract. If you are not happy with the one you have chosen, ring them back and tell them you are not happy with this and you will be returning the phone and cancelling the contract as o2 have the deal you want (200 x-network mins and 200 messages per month for £20)Also ask them for your PAC code.
Knowing vodaphone and the current price war that seems to be going on between the network providers, they will say if they can match the deal will you stay etc,so you should get what you want and still be able to keep the phone......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

Might be worth having a look at this deal - if you're comfortable with cashback deals. Nokia 6230i - 200xnet mins and 250 texts for less than £8pcm.

Only you can really judge how many minutes you'll use, and base your decision on that. Will it be like last year or earlier in this?0
