Yay- University Offer For My Son (With ASD, ADHD and other things)

Probably shouldn't post on here but wanted to as sure there are other parents on here who get a bit weighed down by the difficulties in getting their children (with or without special needs) through school.
My son has not had a good time with schooling, been bullied by both teachers and peers, was told not to bother coming back to college last year (a couple of days before the term started). This meant he had to get a loan (because he turned 20) to finish his BTEC elsewhere. We were also made homeless.
But persistence has paid off, he's been accepted by a really good university with a course that will equip him for the working environment as well as enable him to meet his potential, in an area he has special talent in.
Couldn't be happier for him. Course suits him down to the ground.
And of course, am the proudest cluckiest mamma ever lol.

Make sure everyone at the uni who needs to know about his difficulties is aware of them.
The arrangements the uni made for my son made the difference between his getting through the first year and having to withdraw.
Housing in particular were thoughtful in giving him some special treatment.0 -
Many congratulations to your son!

He can also claim Disabled Students Allowance which will help with the costs of anything that may help him with his studies.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
