I guess you tried calling cingular and last about 3hrs. for someone to tell you, you have to have service with them to unlock it!0

No not at all. The reason being that this is a UK consumer site and we don't have Cingular in the UK. So why you are asking about unlocking your US Cingular phone here, and being based in Tx, I'm not too sure!The thanks button is here to the right. it's a UK forum, we don't know the settings for USA phones...hence the "sticky" at the top of this section that says "unlock codes for UK "
