But I've just spotted in one of your many posts on the Mobility Car thread, you wrote
"I know when I am buying a new car for my wife ... we are given a similar car for a couple of days to test it out...... She is thinking of up grading to the new Pace model so they are to loan her one for a weekend whilst our car is having some warranty work carried out in mid March.."

Can I make a suggestion?
Couldn't your wife drive you there, and come into the assessment with you?
She could if it was at all possible. But given where I go for these assessments it is in the middle of the city and she feels that it is too much for her. She too is not very well either so I don't want to push her into something she is not happy doing. As for me, my licence was revoked a year or so ago due to my many health problems.
BTW Rockingbilly- Would that be the new Jaguar F-Pace you and you wife are upgrading to?
http://www.jaguar.co.uk/jaguar-range/f-pace/index.html
"The Jaguar F-Pace is the company's first SUV and a rival to everything from the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 through to the Porsche Macan, such is the breadth of its engine options and pricing structure."
Which model will your wife be getting? This one looks interesting - http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/jaguar-f-pace-svr-spotted-first-time
I note that you also wrote "I buy a new car every 3 years" - stretch it out for another 18 months and I'm sure the SVR will be on the market by then.
We were looking at the R Sport 180. But she has now changed her mind completely and wants to try out a C Class 250d AMG Saloon in black with red leather. I must admit it does look stunning. And what the current massive discounts on offer until the end of March the price is ridiculously cheap
Or was it the upcoming I-Pace you and your wife had your sights set on?
"The I-Pace is Jaguar's first electric car, and takes the form of a small SUV. With an ability to travel more than 310 miles on a single charge, it surpasses the range of the world’s only other all-electric SUV, the Tesla Model X. What's more, its two motors give it four-wheel drive, a combines 395bhp, and allow it to accelerate from 0-60mph in around four seconds."
If that was the "new Pace model" you were referring to then I'm afraid to tell you that it's not due to come to market until 2018, so it you won't be available, even for you, in mid-March as a courtesy car.
My wife tells me that the car has to be compliment her. What the hell she is thinking when looking at the Mercedes model I don't know - maybe is secretly hoping to attract a toy boy!!0 -
You seem to understand it pretty wellrockingbilly wrote: »I had the DWP fill out the PIP2 for me. Got home and had a look at what he had put and noticed that he had missed off so much info. Reading the form it makes me look like I am a benefit scrounger with so many inconsistencies and contradictions. .
And, indeed, in another post on the same thread you were "working on the form" before sending it off0 -
I have always said that I did have a look at the form after they had completed it. I admit that I couldn't understand most of it.as it was so confusing. There were parts of it that stood out that contradicted what I had said to him or what I said was completely missing. The impression I got from reading the form was that I was not worthy of a PIP award. You seem to understand it pretty well

Given my inability to understand the form in total I just let it ride. If I could have understood it then I would not have needed help in the first place. Don't most people get help to make sure that the form is completed properly?
When I said I was working on the form, that was to make sure that what evidence I had to hand was attached to it that would hopefully fill in the gaps missed off the form and rectify any misunderstandings of some parts that seem to imply a contradiction.
I had an extension of 7 days for the form to be back with the DWP which was the 12th Feb - Sunday. This meant that to meet that deadline it had to be received by the last working day - 10th Feb I posted it by Special Delivery on the 9th and it arrived on the 10th.0 -

Of course you haverockingbilly wrote: »
I didn't even write anything on my PIP2 nor did I read what had been put there, but I do suspect that what was written down for me mirrored my particular circumstances without any regard as to what the descriptors say.0
