Nope no little ones but the vendors do so maybe that's why they are moving - tho apparently they want a 4 bed.0

Yes I was surprised by that!0 -

Venture a few yards up the road and there are 2 tattooed youths in tracksuits looking like they're about to hurl abuse (or worse) at the passing google car. Charming.
Property 1's location looks far nicer, and you know what they say about location?!? Property 2 may be lovely inside, but I'd be worried that it'll just make the locals want to rob it more.
Yep my OH had concerns about that. Apparently the house has been inherited and is being refurbed. But why park a car across grass like that..0 -

Yep I wouldnt want this house either
- proximity of river
- insurance companies being awkward about proximity of river
- downstairs bathroom
- chav alert time
I say that as someone that found one of the compromises on current house I bought is a neighbouring house has chavs there and they are steadily letting their house fall down/whilst making the neighbourhood look noticeably worse. Mine was a calculated decision, in that respect, that they are so lacking in financial sense that they'll lose that house - and maybe someone that "cares" a bit more will buy it instead at some point. But, one way or another, I'm taking a calculated gamble that things will improve after they've gone.0 -
I grew up in a spacious 70s 4-bed with massive garden. They really don't build family homes like that anymore.
Definitely have a good look at the state of the neighbours and get some quotes from insurance comparison websites before committing yourself. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
That house is a similar layout to mine, although our kitchen and back room are one open plan room, and it is similar from the front (but mine is 1980s). Yes it's not beautiful, but I love the amount of space downstairs. The conservatory wouldn't bother me either way- similar to one we had in a previous house- didn't add much, but occasionally used to have a morning coffee in spring/ summer evenings, and not worth the hassle of ripping down. But for me the river and the lack of upstairs bathroom would be dealbreakers.0

An update - the 1970s one sold for the asking price (not to us!) I've now gone the distributing leaflets route!0
