All depends on your credit worthiness, amount of credit you already have etc
There is no guarantee what you will get until you apply
Depending on what you are buying to be honest cashing in some of the premium bonds and buying with cash may even be better given the cut coming in May
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bondsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Already posted much of this in a different thread.
Virgin Money 24 months 0% BT card is what Virgin Money recommended based on what I wanted and my proposed monthly payment. I got a pre-approved on the Virgin Money eligibility check and got approved for the card immediately after the full application and the BT approved and confirmed next day
My credit limit is £1700 which on the face of it isn't very good but I only needed £705 and that's what I applied for.0 -
My OH applied for the 36 month Virgin 1.99% money transfer card and got a limit of £6,200.
He has two previous cards; one he doesn't use and another he pays off each month. Combined limits of £7,000 approx.

On Friday I was accepted for the Sainsburys 0% for 41 months balance transfer card.
It says my credit limit will be £4,800 (I told them I'm going to be transferring £1,500 on to it)
I already have a Barclaycard that if I use I pay in full each month, credit limit £5,000
And a Lloyds card that has a limit of £4,500
My salary is £35,0000 -
I got £4200 with Tesco 0% BT card, even with 4 defaults on my file from 2012.0

I recently applied for a Barclaycard 0% BT deal and got a £3800 limit - more than double what I needed for my BT.
I applied but got the decision the next day via email. I think it's usually instant but I applied at a stupid time - 3:40 AM - hence the delay!0 -
I recently got a Virgin Money 24 months 0% interest fee free balance transfer card with a £9000 credit limit. I have so many cards already and I keep forgetting to cancel them when no longer in use as I am forever swapping cards around to either pick up rewards, or get 0% interest deals. I honestly don't know what my total credit is on all my cards combined, but probably enough to get myself a decent helicopter! It is all based on an income of £60000 per year, so probably seen as very low risk with a good credit history, but it always amazes me how easy it seems to be to get yet another card.0
