You misunderstood, what pihole does. It's not a router, it only runs a DNS server which blocks domains with a blacklist. It handles your DNS queries only, the traffic still goes directly through you Internet router.
Anyone using NoScript really ought to have a look at uMatrix. It's from the same guy that produced uBlock Origin.
uMatrix does everything NoScript does, but is far more flexible. Cross-site domain scripts can be enabled for particular domains (i.e. you can enable embedded cdn.com scripts on domain1.com, but not on domain2.com) -- something NoScript cannot do.
The UI takes a moment to get your head round, but it's such an intuitive and elegant design. Here's the link for the Firefox version of the add-on:
