Virgin PAYG SIM in T-Mobile PAYG phone ??

My son has set his heart on a new Nokia 5300. He's currently on virgin payg and wants to keep his existing number and make use of the £30 odd quid credit he has on it. Unfortunately the 5300 is not available on virgin payg.

However, it is available on T-mobile payg. Now as I understand it virgin is a virtual network and is basically rebadged T-mobile. So will a virgin payg sim work in a t-mobile payg phone without unlocking ????

TIA

  • I think it should be able to but not 100% sure

Best way is transfer his money to another number on Virgin eg another sim.

so if all else fails you have not lost the money
Where are you going to buy the phone from. And could you take it back if it did not work.

A Virgin SIM will work in a T-Mobile phone, though not the other way around without unlocking.
