A set aside , as stated, sets things back to square 1 and costs £255. The PPC can then reapply to court for a "re-trial". If they win, then they get awarded the parking charges as well and if you don't pay, you are back to where you are now but with even more money as a result of the 2nd court case.
A couple of questions.
Why did you not get any of the original paperwork, including the court papers? Have you moved house? Can your son win the 2nd hearing?0 -
I don't know. At present I am grieving the loss of my eldest Son and haven't felt able to pay attention to mail etc recently and now I'm in a mess 0

I am so very sorry to hear that sad news about your son. You need some advice so I suggest you contact the BMPA for help next week with this set aside procedure and what to write to explain why you could not have dealt with recent post due to your bereavement:

... but you need to check if you have to pay court fees or not because set aside costs £255. DO NOT contact Gladstones.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
