The situation is that the UK economy doesn't need artists from around the world. The UK can produce enough of its own artists. So if you are not from the UK and you cannot afford to rent a commercial unit to work in and a bedsit or room in a shared house to live in then you cannot afford to live and work in the UK and you need to return home. It is that simple.

The UK does not need artists from around the world who come to the UK and break the laws on renting a home and then expect the UK to give them the right to live somewhere that they cannot live. There are rules. In the UK you cannot live in a commercial unit. If you don't like this fact then it is time to return home.

The answer is that the 100 or so people who are living illegally in these units need to move out and rent somewhere legally.

True. Paul Nuttall's Romeo and Juliet is quite outstanding.

The tv programme about 'house enforcers' showed a situation where a large number of people were living in a place that was not suitable.

This was actually a residential property, but not up to standard .The landlord was told that he would not be allowed to rent rooms, with the existing conditions and the residents were quickly moved out.

People living in the situation mentioned in this thread would have even less reason not to be evicted.

So far, between the lines, I had some clarifying suggestions, thank you.

Some of the answers deserve no comment, or a separate thread.

Why would anyone want to invade bushes?

The only suggestion that you can make to the people who are living illegally in a commercial building is for them to move out.
