Now TV

Considering Now TV for (hopefully) only a couple of months until Virgin is up and running in my area (preferred supplier).

Has anybody got any feedback for Now TV, good or bad? How reliable is broadband connection?

Now TV seem to be the only provide to offer one months contract, unless I'm wrong.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thx.

  • It's basically Sky broadband, so should be good if my experience is anything to go by.

I think there's a setup fee on Now TV broadband, so might make it expensive for very short term use, but may be worth it in your case awaiting Virgin.

£44 set up fee, but in theory free to move after 30 days. Compared to being tied into a contract for 18 months.

    Thanks for feedback.
  • Regarding Now Tv. Used to go for their £10 for the Movies package. But cancelled it, didn't have enough time to watch the movies and don't offer any offline viewing for commuting.
  • check Quidco Compare (not just the plain Quidco) as there is an offer on there for the fibre broadband which will offset the connection fee.
I'm considering NowTV for broadband as BT have yet again upped their price - I really hate it when you negotiate a 12 month deal and they up the price after 6 months. Free BT Sport is not enough to make me want to stay. Like the OP, I like the rolling month contract as this lets you ditch a current provider and wait for a tempting Quidco/Topcashback/MSE deal that gives you a heavily subsidised package.

I've had their BB for just over a month now and not got any complaints so far. Pretty much for the same reason as you. Waiting for Virgin. Virgin screwed up my order but made me an offer I couldn't refuse if I waited until they sorted out the issue, so went to Now while I wait.

I get the speed they said I would get and on the one occasion I had to contact them about something they were efficient, helpful and friendly. They had to call me back the following day, and to my amazement the person actually called me back themselves, and at the time they said they would. A rare occurance in my experience!

If it wasn't for the fantastic offer I mentioned that Virgin offered me, I'd be quite happy to stay with Now for the foreseeable future.
