A SAAB. Seems they have the most comfortable seats.

But what works for one person may not work for another. I can do 300 miles in my car and get out and walk a little stiff. Parents Golf 20 minutes at best.
The back of my car 15 minutes and its let me out.

If it's the bumps that annoy you, a Citroen C5 with that lovely hydropnuematic suspension would be hard to beat.

You're gonna have to try several, we all want different things. I see the Vauxhall "orthopaedic" seats mentioned, I had to abandon a test drive of a Vauxhall with these because they were so bad for me. My last car was a Volvo V70 which wasn't too bad once in, but getting in was real problem. I tried a Qashqai but they don't come in my size, my current car is a Honda CR-V but I had to go for the top spec to get suitable seats.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

I do very high mileage and have occasional back trouble, best two cars I've had for back comfort were an A4 and A6.
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Heated rear seats are great for back ache as well

Not if you're sat in the front!

A Volvo. Every single one I've owned has been incredibly comfortable. 500+ mile days with no aches or pains at the end. I get out feeling as comfortable as when I got in, no matter how long sitting down.

That has been my experience too.

A couple of years ago I suffered a painful back for the last 3 days of my holiday. In fact I worried about driving nearly 400 miles home.

Amazingly, as soon as I sat in my Volvo the pain went and I was able to drive in comfort and without stopping for a break.
  • Depends entirely on budget I suppose. If you can I'd suggest a top-end Audi. The S8 is absolutely sublime. It's like being on the sofa while you drive to work.

So you're suggesting a car that costs north of 80k new. Is this a small MATTER of DARK discussion?

I drive roughly 90 miles a day and have a sore/ stiff back. Any advice on what cars people have found the most comfortable and also any tips on having the correct posture in the car?

    Thanks

Got three compressed discs in my lumbar. Ford Mondeo every time. Can do 800 miles in a day in one of those and get out as fresh as a daisy with no back problems. I found having my seat back quite upright helped.
