Let me just repeat, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from a hotel, why would you as a moneysaver spend 5 times the price?
also 7 quid for a curry and rice is a proper rip off as i have mentioned in other threads
Please do not call me an idiot!! You do not know me at all to call me such names.
£7 for a curry in this particular hotel, I thought, was reasonable as you would pay that in a Pub/Restaurant in this country!
We found the supermarket cheap and it wasn't out of the way to go to as Carfore is at the bottom of the Deira City shopping centre where most hotel mini buses take you.
We only eat at the Hotel once or twice because we save a lot of money on our flights and hotel so thats why we eat there! It's a holiday, to be enjoyed not watching every penny we spend.Im not much good at saving money but Im a good cook

Let's all stay relaxed now, I think khizman was just being a bit over-zealous in his moneysaving antics - me, I see both sides of the arguement, thus why half of our time in the hotel is half board!!!2p off is still 2p off!0

i am usually there on a business holiday combo so i do watch money which i spend.
But it annoys me that people buy from hotels because they think that they can sell stuff at that price rather than decreasing it.
But yes i am very extreme when it comes to things like this, when i went to morocco i went as far as buying the same brand of mineral water as the one they serve you in the hotel restaurant to avoid paying 6 times the price!
If you werent spending money going to the supermarket then you are ok
7 quid is ok in this country sure but lets not forget, you arent in this country
The idiot thing wasnt directly aimed at you so sorry.0 -

Eh? I don't know, the only reason we went half board is it didn't cost that much and it was a bit of a treat too.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

Many thanks for your apology khizman
To Fatboyonadiet, as for Oasis beach, we went there once because when we stayed at the Palm (was the Dubai Park then) it's not near the beach and you were able to use the beach front off Oasis Beach Hotel...anyway, very nice hotel. Reasonable prices for food if I remember rightly, it may have changed by now though so don't qoute me on that!
