So you saying any bank even the established high street ones can threat their customers like criminals without evidence/proof/police/court trials involvement and steal their money? This is kind of corruption you only see in thirld world countries where banks are run by !!!!!s and gangstas and dodgy politicians telling the police and courts to shut up.0

I can't quite see the relevance of this post. There is no comparison with the point I was making. You wouldn't wake up one morning to find your supply disconnected simply because they 'thought' you were running a cannabis farm.0 -
Yes, welcome to the real world. So you saying any bank even the established high street ones can threat their customers like criminals without evidence/proof/police/court trials involvement
Who said 'steal'?and steal their money?
You are deluded. In fact, this plague spreads from USA, the most civilised country in the worldThis is kind of corruption you only see in thirld world countries where banks are run by !!!!!s and gangstas and dodgy politicians telling the police and courts to shut up.

Today I reviewed Fidor bank Terms and Conditions. Here is what I found relevant to this thread:
9.2 The Bank’s ability to block
9.2.1 The Bank may block a Customer's Online Banking access when:
it has the right to terminate the entire business relationship with the Customer for
good cause (“wichtiger Grund”) (e.g. legal or regulatory provisions). See section 18
of the GTC;
the Bank reasonably believes that the security of the authentication tool or the
personalised security features have been compromised; or
there is suspicion of unauthorised or fraudulent use on the Account.

9.2.2 The Bank will inform the Customer via mail, email, telephone or Online Banking as
soon as possible, following the block, stating the reasons for the block.
9.3 Lifting the block
The Bank will lift a block or replace the personalised security feature or the
authentication tool if the reasons for the block no longer exist. The Bank shall inform
the Customer of this promptly. The Customer may only apply to have a Blocking
Request that it has requested lifted by mail or over the phone after successfully
verifying their identity.
Still have no reason yet or even a reply to my communications I made with them. I also emailed the CEO Matthias Kroner but still no reply. It seems Fidor bank are not adhering to their own terms and conditions.
Those reading this thread and thinking of joining Fidor then please learn from my mistake.
They have given you a reason. It is a compliance review0 -
Update: I got a vague email response from them with a PDF attachment letter saying that because I breached their Terms and Conditions they will close my account on the last days of February.
Still doesn't state what terms and conditions I breached. So it looks like I only have 11-12 days remaining to sort this BS out and get my funds back.0 -
UK customers are screwed anyway when Brexit happens?
Naturally.
They'll have to follow all the same rules but have no say in formulating them.

Have you been running more funds than usual through your Fidor account or running a business through it?urs sinserly,
~~joosy jeezus~~0 -
Lol have no business. More funds than usual? I just had the account from last month so how do they know what's more than usual in regards to my account?
I did sold couple of things online but they were like under £200 and I got paid by bank transfer by the buyers. Yeah since last month just sold couple of things.
Fidor don't do a business account anyway I believe.
So i'm classed as a businessman now because let's say for example I sold my PS4 for £200 and the bank close my account for lets say money laundering BS or tax evasion BS lol because I didn't pay her majesty HMRC tax when I sold the PS4? Absolutely ridiculous. For God sake are banks acting like this nowadays?0 -
I bet if I had less money in the account like just a tenner or something they they wouldn't bother me with this BS. Because I have hundreds in the account they probably thinking it's worth it giving me the BS so they can steal my money. Vampires.
They are so many big fish drug dealers out there driving Lambos and many illegal businesses and mega corporations paying 0% tax. Why don't they go after those guys instead of picking on folks like us?
Absolutely disgusting.
Taking the Pi**0 -
You really need to get a grip. Nobody is stealing your money, they've told you they are closing your account and you will get the balance back then if they haven't given you access to it any sooner. Perhaps you should focus your efforts on working out which of their terms and conditions you have broken so that you don't do the same with the next account you apply for.0
