I had problem setting up a new savings account at the weekend due to the system crashing. Rang and set up without any issue.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

My accounts are all sole. Seems they manage payees on account holder, not on account level - which would make sense as each joint account holder could have sole accounts with payees that the other account holder should not be able to see.
Except, of course, when they look at the transaction history. :D

Hi colsten. I have a joint account with my wife and am in the process of opening another. You mention that they make payees available on all accounts, but if my wife logs in and sets up a payment, it does not appear when I log in. So I guess each persons payments are kept separate?

I'm probably being dim here - it wouldn't be the first time & won't be the last:o

Shakin - are you saying that if your wife sets up a payee on your joint account, it doesn't appear on your joint account when you log in? Which is surely wrong, as all payments set up on a joint account should be visible to both account holders.

Or that the payment isn't visible on your sole accounts? Which is as it should be.

Not visible on joint account. She set up a payment to MBNA, but it's not there when I log in. We don't have sole accounts.
