Using BT reward card.

I have Sky fibre,line rental and anytime extra calls which was £23 but this week will cost me £47.
I tried getting a better deal but the best offer was £34pm on 18 month contract.
I was looking at BT fibre offer 0f £29.49 plus calls package but that is without mobile calls.
I also got MSE email today it also mentioned the deal.
What i would like to know is if/when you get the £100 reward card can you use it to put money into you BT account or is that not allowed. If that was ok it would make it a better deal.
I had a look on Quidco about the BT deal and in the t&c's it mentioned that rewards and offers on the BT site would not be honoured/counted with Quidco cashback but i have seen on MSE that posters have been paid.

No, it's a pre paid mastercard that you can spend in shops. You can't use it for online transactions, as it doesn't have a long card number like your credit or debit card.

If you want to use it to top up your bill, simply use it for your weekly shopping, and use the weekly shopping money to top up your bill.

Yes, it "stacks" with TCB.

Yes, it "stacks" with TCB.

You can use it for online transactions and it does have a long card number. I think financial transactions are barred (so you can't use it to gamble, pay in to a savings account or take out cash) but other than that it should work pretty well anywhere.

I agree that the best course of action is to use it somewhere you would spend anyway and save the money you would have spent. If you regularly shop in one supermarket you might find it easier to buy a gift card for that supermarket using the entire value - e.g. buy a £100 Sainsburys gift card with your £100 BT gift card.

I've never had one of these myself, can you load it yourself and keep it as a pre-paid card as an anti-fraud measure? Or is it junk once you've used up the credit already on the card?

I thought the cards could be used like a normal debit/credit card for transactions online. I also thought they could be topped up but i will not be as i have credit card and travel card for abroad.
Still not sure if the £100 can be deposited into the BT account like paying the bill which if you could would mean 3 months of free credit and then 9 months on direct debit a bit like Sky giving you account credit when stay with them.

Just to update this thread i took an offer of £34.49pm to stay with Sky for the same services and a new Sky Q hub included in that free so to me i am pleased with that offer.
