How about something like this where you list your services? instead of trying to water with just the website URL?

why do you not offer your photos for sale in someones catalogue like Saatchi, make some money, and let them do the copyright chasing?

At the start of my last career as a self-employed designer and printer of business stationery, entertainer packs and independent school prospectuses, my first lesson in business ethics happened when asked by a Public House/Resturant landlady to produce some business cards. I took photos of the place and produced a really nice card. She took 50 as a start, I was paid for those and she was pleased, said she would want brochures, menus etc. later. I heard no more.

A year or so later, I was talking to another customer who said they wanted some stationery, "But not on paper like this" - and produced a very thin card which was obviously my design. The landlady had scanned, copied and rough-cut my design onto 80 gsm stock (normal inkjet printer paper) It was horrible! That's when I realised the value of watermarking every design, especially 'Specimens' to show prospective customers. As the design process is really the most labour-intensive part, I also charged a small sum for a specimen of each package, refundable by a discount on accepted orders.

The only other intended rip-off I suffered was from a highbrow independent school, which attempted to evade payment for a package worth over £500, on the grounds that it was not as expected. A small claims court upheld my claim to the money, together with an added £250 for defamation of business reputation, after the school had tried to contact local press.

About 18 months later, the same school asked me to produce another package. I thought about it, asked double the price and a 50% deposit. I heard no more.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
