UK break to gather family members South West

Can anyone recommend somewhere for Whit week, in the South/ or South West England -hoping to get about 14 family members together, including some children, so would like some activities, maybe a pool, rather than just a house in the middle of nowhere.

Plenty of Caravan parks with entertainment packs around the South West area...

Could have a look at Haven/Pontins

Thanks, ideally would prefer something other than a caravan as that's our usual holiday and this is for a special birthday.
  • This place is quite good, and will have something for everyone, no matter their age

you could have a look at the Youth Hostels Association specialist website, where you could hire a whole hostel: http://exclusive-hire.yha.org.uk/

Thanks Springdreams, have heard of the Manor house, Trip Advisor has very mixed reviews, so was a bit undecided.

Hadn't thought of a youth hostel Judy, will check it out, thanks.
  • If the kids are up to around 12 they may well like Legoland and Windsor is lovely. You can get packages and we've stayed at the Beaumont Estate hotel which has a pool and was fine.

As a location around Bath is good, the town is lovely as is spa plus can get to Longleat, Wookey Hole for kids. Where we stayed was a house but just for 4 so don't know accommodation.
