Sky just raised price on supposedly fixed-price MoneySavingExpert exclusive deal

In January this year I signed up to Fibre Broadband with Sky using a voucher code which was exclusive to MSE members. On the MSE website the deal was titled: "Fibre & line rental £391 over 18 months"
On the MSE "Cheap Broadband Deals" page where this was advertised, it stated the following:
"Could Sky hike prices?
Not with this deal, we've had confirmation from Sky that the price is protected for the duration of the 18-month contract."
However, yesterday I received an email from Sky informing me my line rental would be increasing by £1.59 per month from 1st March.
Where do I stand with this? If I phone Sky to complain, how can I back up my claim that this was meant to be a fixed-price deal for 18 months? The deal is no longer on the MSE website so I can't point Sky to that page for them to read it for themselves. It will just be my word against theirs.
Thanks for your advice.

What do your 'future bills' page say on your 'My Sky' account?
That may just be an automated email rather than specific to you.0 -
Thanks Colin_Maybe. That's an interesting thought. Yes - my future subscription costs on the MySky website continue to show the same monthly charge as I am currently paying. So unless they've not yet updated that to reflect the new line rental price, then it would seem to suggest that the email is a general one and not specific to me.0

Steve, I like u, got the Sky email, I phoned Sky cancellations and instructed the MSE Sky offer I subscribed too in early January was 'fixed' for 12 months and that these price rises would not apply - if they do apply, and given my phone conversation was recorded, I'd cancel due to 'misrepresentation', however, that's not the case as of now, so will stick with Sky unless something drastically takes place.0 -
Also got the letter and just checked my sky account via "future costs" -> "Upcoming subscription costs ->and sure enough Aprils line rental will go up £1.59 and the discount will go up to match too so no change to the overall bill.
Having done a quick look even if the increase had been applied to this discounted deal it would still be a very good deal, only beaten by Origin whoever they are.0 -
Thanks sptb. I agree it's a great deal, and I would not leave Sky because of it, but once sneaky price rises start they may well keep coming, so I would have complained out of principal I think. I'll keep my eye on my future costs to see if it gets updated like yours.0

If you are on a MSE deal with Sky I don't see how they can apply any increases to you - I've just rechecked my account for 'Future Billing' and it remains the same, namely BB £2, Phone/Line Rental £10 & Anytime Calls £8 making £20 per month until January 2018 - also have a £50 Cash Back tracking, so actual cost per month with a Sky Q Router and other charges is under £18.50 a month, or the value of line rental, which is far cheaper than I was paying with PlusNet with a decent AC Router thrown into the mix.0
