Good Morning
A friend of mine has a dead zone in his front room where he cannot get 3 network phone signal.
He has contacted 3 about a signal booster but there were not very helpful.
Anyone got any ideas for a cheap solution apart from opening windows or changing network provider-thanks.

Your friend needs a "home signal" device.
Im surprised Three werent more helpful . He should persist ..

Good luck with that - have been trying to get a home signal box from Three for about 6 months now - they just tell me they don't have any and that I don't need one because I can enable wifi calling on my phone.xxx Nikki xxx0

That's a poor show
We got a similar device from Vodafone relatively pain free0 -
Yes he says 3 just fob him off and say they dont have these boosters anymore.
I did see some on ebay but not sure if they can be re-registerd?0 -
worth trying/using the wifi calling in the meantime,
I have zero signal in my office, downloaded the 'Three inTouch' app and works great, much clearer than when i use the phone on the actual network when i do have a signal,0 -

If it's a smartphone, I think 3 offer some sort of mechanism by which you can use your phone over wifi when there's no signal. (I received a text spam from them recently, but didn't read the details.)
But maybe that only works for outgoing calls.0 -
If its an iPhone 5c or newer or a Galaxy S6 or LG G5 then you can now use native wifi calling. The phone will just handle routing of calls across the WiFi network. see http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/three_intouch/
All other phones will need to use the Three InTouch App.0 -
According to a comment on this article, 3 recently introduced true WiFi calling.
Edit: that's what the above post is saying too.0 -

Obviously this is a fix ,
But i find it a bit cheeky of the operators as Wifi calling still comes off your minutes as if you were using one of their cell towers.
Much Much cheaper for them to suggest you use your own infrastructure, rather than theirs, and still pay for the privilege !!
