Hester I have sent you a pm0

DD and SIL came round yesterday to pick up their cat and we had a bite to eat before they left. I tried out my Actifry (good buy in the sale) for the first time and made steak and chips. They turned out lovely and family is very impressed.
Having a quiet morning before getting the bus around two o clock to doctor's appointment. Luckily the bus stops near the medical centre so I don't have to walk far. Baked salmon is in the fridge for lunch and I have extra shopping in so I don't have to go out in the next few days.

Thinking of you and hope you feel up to de lurking soon.

It is lovely to think of you both cruising the waterways in the future. You will be able to tell your boss to take a long walk off a short plank!

Awww, thank you all. I don't deserve such kindness. The doggy-licks, waggy tails and offers of a share of a smacko are greatly appreciated too.
(You lot know me too well!!
)
I'll try and be a bit more sociable - it really has been the month from hell (I won't bore you with details) and I shall be glad when March gets here - I still have two beastly medical appts to attend, both of which I am dreading, but hey, ho.
Hester if you are going to be plying the canals at all, let me know if you're ever going to be in the vicinity of Stoke Bruerne in Northants; there's a lovely canal-side pub there, which we occasionally visit, they also have a little shop where they sell emergency supplies to narrowboat owners. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello, de lurking here briefly!
Gers, which app did you get for scanning on your phone? Had a quick look in app store but unsure which one to go for! Interesting!
Thanks. Helena0 -

I use Tiny Scanner - think it's both IOS and Android. At first I only used the free version (which is great BTW) but then opted for the £3.99 version as it does multiple pages and can do other stuff like emailing the documents to any address. I have no affiliation or connection with this app but was recommended to it by my geeky nephew.
As I have scan education papers when out and about this is such an easy solution. IN EDIT - I've got it on my iPhone and iPad.
My remote wifi plug has arrived, it took me longer to get it out of the packaging than setting it up. I'm so impressed. Love technology!
Lunch, Judge Rinder (recording to avoid the ads) and a cup of tea.
GREAT to see you LW.0 -
Thanks Gers will have a look later on!

Have just been to see GP who has sent me home to pack a bag just in case and I am being picked up by ambulance to go for an X ray and check up at the hospital.
Hope it is a simple chest infection and I can go home again so fingers crossed.
