Hiya

I have a k800i on t-mobile and i was wondering if there is anyway i can get the phone to ring longer when receiving incoming calls as it only rings for a very short while, which means i miss most of them and have to ring back.

Cheers

Delay nn seconds: max 30 seconds, in 5 second increments
    Set: **61*destination**nn#[SEND]
    Cancel: ##61#[SEND]
    Query: *#61#[SEND]

SEND means hit the dial key. Destination is your voicemail access number - your phone may or may not display this when you dial vm using the 1 key... it can be a bit of a challenge to get this number though the last code I've listed might actually tell you what it is anyway.

Oh - do make sure to set your number in international format in case you go abroad.

Should work for all GSM phones and networks.

    HTH.

It is a GSM network command so should work with all handsets.

Yes - all networks and phones on GSM should accept these commands - just try it! Works fine on my 6120. The *#06# to get the IMEI is another 'standard' command from this set.

Except they don't always work on some PAYG.

Thanks, but i cant seem to find what you mention. I find 'divert calls', then 'voice calls', then the options im offered are :
    Divert always
    When busy
    Not reachable or
    No reply

I havent got a clue what to do :o:o:o

Just type those in as if they were a phone number and press DIAL.

Don't choose anything off the menu for diverts, etc. these are GSM codes you enter as if calling someone.

[Behind the scenes when you use the menu options on the phone, they use these codes but with the default delays, etc. By sending the codes directly to the network you have more control than you do via the menu.]

Can your son read then? The only way that you can make the phone ring longer is to type in the code as given above. No menu on your handset can do this!
