I take an equally dim view of all types of currency speculation, if it helps Taking a punt on single stocks is not much better, as you have found.

If used as a currency (i.e. to buy things), then I can see the utility, but as an investment, it is as speculative as they come.

I couldn't agree more but apart from buying and selling gold occasionally I am so fed up with 1% ISAs at the other end of the scale! However I can't risk savings on a disability income and before my state pension starts in 18 months!

I do wish I had made that initial purchase of 10,000 Bitcoins for $50 though
