I went into one of these shops once. Style over substance, in my opinion. I see it as positive that they no longer stock symbols of primitive religions.Je suis sabot...0

Which religions aren't primitive?

Is this a real thread ?
You are venting at a shop because they are not selling an item you demand they sell ?
They gave you a reason, they are moving away from religious stuff.
Who are you to question their internal sales decisions ?
And to think you even sent your mate back the next day !!

I think what the OP says the store told her Dad was 'lost in translation'.
If an item was available online, I'd never go into a shop and expect them to order it for me.
Swarovski offer a 'click and collect' service so the OP or Dad could have ordered online and had it delivered or collected it.0 -
The shop may be wary of problems/damage from some members of the community if stocking religious items0

Clearly you have forgotten or weren't aware of this story then - not even selling Christian items, just wishing customers a Happy Easter.

People who know me and know I'm an atheist are often surprised to find that I wear a crucifix.
I tell them it's to ward off vampires.
Religious symbols do not necessarily represent religious belief...0 -
