Hi TOPM
I really hope that everything is OK at your end - although i don't know you in RL you pop into my mind on a regular basis and even just a few words to say that you and yours are alright would, I'm sure, ease many of us who are rooting for you. ((hugs)) XI Believe.....

I wouldn't worry too much about ToPM. She's logged in numerous times since last posting on 2nd February, most recently on Sunday evening, and chosen not to post anything.
So either things are going really well - so why not update us, or things aren't going to plan and she daren't update us....
The lack of updates lets us all come to our own conclusions, basically.
At the end of the day, it's her thread, and up to her whether she continues to contribute or not.
I just hope that for the sake of her and her family things are going well, and that they aren't letting the family debt creep up too much, whilst focusing 100% on the business.
Lastly, i wonder how many subscribers this thread actually has?? see below...How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -

Hope all is well with you TOPM, so glad you managed to extricate yourself from the franchise situation.
It must be frustrating to read posts from someone who hasn't read the entire thread and is going over old ground that has been discussed pages and pages back. I am sure you know that your regular cheerleaders, infrequent posters and lurkers are all cheering you on from the sidelines. We're really rooting for you and your family.£20k debt paid off, now saving for mortgage deposit

Dear ToPM devotees
I have some sad but probably not unexpected news. ToPM has sent me a PM, saying
"Wowsers, just popped back on to see whether the negativity had eased and it was worth an update/returning to my diary, and saw the post I've quoted below. Humdinger I haven't quoted it because ToPM together with many others wants a kind, respectful forum where different approaches are cause for celebration not judgment. Its theme is that ToPM can only have not posted for negative reasons. She goes on to say: The fact that actually I've been snowed under with launching a business (which has gone amazingly, thank goodness, every metric has outstripped my expectations) and that I have only been logging on to politely reply to messages apparently hasn't occurred to the poster in question.
I feel completely and utterly unable to come back to my diary - it seems so mad to subject myself to such negativity, when finally finding the confidence to do it my own way is working better than any of the received wisdom I've received so far."
Humdinger This is a sad day for many of us - I think that different ways of looking at debt busting are part of what makes MSE so strong. ToPM may have been in a minority, but that doesn't make her wrong. I've pleaded for people supporting her to be given a link to her as she is irreplaceable to many, but am not sure if she'll feel able to come back to see it.1
