15 minutes is nothing, BUT you say 15 minutes to the START of the city.

How much further would it be to the actual city centre as most people would base the 15 minutes on "how far is it to the city center, or how far is it to the shops"?
  • Not sure why the question is even being asked - as it's so well within definition of "walking distance" that I'd call it "very easy walking distance - only minutes from the shops".

Personally I'd say 2 miles is by anyone's definition (ie comfortably so) and 4 miles is still walking distance (but not comfortably so).

That's easily walking distance. Though of course my 96 year old father might not agree.

Now take some ownership of your sale. Read every word in the marketing material. Look at the photos. Check the layout plan. Check the EPC.

If there's anything missing, or erroneous, or not sufficiently to your liking, tell your agent to get his finger out. He works for you!

I didn't get to approve anything.

Lots of new buildings are going up in the area with student housing, bars, shops etc so this is taking the city closer to the house with each one. The main bus link into the city is just up around the corner from the house. If you were working in the city it is possible to leave the car at home. (Well my opinion anyway we have walked in many times)

Well you should have. Get it changed.

15 minutes is walking distance, but would I walk it? If it was sunny, I had nothing to do and just wanted to get out of the house or planned on having a pint or 2 or 3 or floor maybe, but otherwise I would either drive or jump on the bus.

It is technically walking distance but it is unlikely I would ever walk for 15 minutes.

I lived in a city(without a car) for a while with a very good cheap(£18pw all transport options) public services, even on regular routes I would walk to the next stop rather than wait often I would get to the destination 10-15mins before the bus.

Parking would have been an issue with a car.
  • "within reasonable walking distance of many amenities?" :)

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and have done for about 10 years, but I understand the point your making.
