Amazon Movies Without Prime Subscription

I live in the U.K. and have a Netflix screen allocated to me courtesy of my nephew. Thanks !

Anyway it can be frustrating at times trying to find a movie I'd enjoy on Netflix. Sometimes I just give up.

That said is it possible to Buy a movie from Amazon and watch it online, there and then. I don't have a prime subscription, I don't use Amazon enough to make it worth my while.

I know you can rent and stream the movie there and then

Buy is my difficulty. There is the occasional movie I'd like to own so can I buy a movie from Amazon and stream without a Prime membership. What happens to the movie if I've bought it? Is it up to me to download it to my own HD or does it rest on Amazon's servers so I can watch it again as and when I like.

Hardware wise I have an iPad mini, iPhone, a Samsung Smart TV with Amazon app. It works I've watch some trailers on it, and a Humax HDR set connected to the TV. My primary TV does not have an attached DVD player, just the Humax

I'm not stuck on n using Amazon, any streaming will do. As always many thanks for advices offered

    Hi.

Yes you can do that without Prime, just select the Amazon Video section when you search for a film in the search box. It stays on their servers so you can download whenever you like, you just have to log into your Amazon account.

As above, you can have an amazon account without subscribing to the Prime service. It is basically pay as you go.

Thanks guys. I think it will be 'Now You See Me 2' tonight.

I'll rent the first few until I see what kind of picture I receive. At the moment Netflix works without a bother so hopefully Amazon will too.
