Retailers possible stop on cashback...
I found this radio broadast about cashback problems & a possible shift in policy that will be of interest to anyone thinking of a cashback contract...

Interesting programme but only part of the picture. It seems they are saying that to get rid of the problem means getting rid of the cashback. This could just lead to customers having no choice but to pay the high charges levied on them. That is no customer protection.
Networks should have had to take responsibility ages for this fiasco and they have not been made to do so.
Another thing that the programme did not touch was the consumers rights especially that there is redress in law against traders still in existance. Again Ofcom and Trading Standards should have taken action long ago to allow consumers to cancel their contract if the seller goes bust.0
