Using Uber Abroad. Foreign Fees?

So I know that Uber is worldwide although I've never used them before. Yet it all goes through one app.
Say I register my UK card in the UK and my taxi fare is £10, that then deducts £10 from my bank account for the fare. However, say I was using an Uber abroad in say Amsterdam where they use the Euro, and I am charged 10euros for the fare (Which according to Google's exchange rate, would be around £8.50)
Would I be charged solely the £8.50 assuming this was the exchange rate? Or would their be any foreign transaction fees included with this? Assuming I'm not using a 0% foreign fees card.
I'm asking due to it all being through one particular app no matter what country you are based in, therefore it would want to use the card that is registered there, unless you change it over to whatever card you'd want to use abroad

Uber always charge in the local currency, so yes you will incur non-sterling transaction fees if your card charges them.
You can register multiple cards and it's easy to choose between them when requesting a pickup.0 -

To avoid that, it's easy, quick and free to get a suitable prepaid card to use instead:

I can confirm this: I have used Uber in several Asian countries, and the fee has always been treated by my card as a foreign purchase. Some cards charge for this, some do not.0

Pro tip: if you're visiting the US, you might want to try Lyft instead of Uber. I use both when I visit there, but prefer the whole Lyft experience. Their app also allows you to tip, avoiding any confusing tip faux pas in the US!0

You can add tip to your Uber profile as well.
I gave up on Lyft, although cheaper than Uber we were left stranded 3 times using them when our ride failed to turn up. Never bothered againThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Can you? I never knew that, thanks for the heads-up.I gave up on Lyft, although cheaper than Uber we were left stranded 3 times using them when our ride failed to turn up.
I've never had any problems with either in the US (mostly in the Bay Area and Seattle - I guess other cities may vary), although Uber has given me cause for complaint a few times in London lately!0 -

The OP has been posting recently over on the Credit Card board. It might not be easy for him/her to get any card given the responses over there.0 -
