A litre of LPG gives you 7Kw whereas a litre of oil gives you 10Kw
Do your sums!
I did do my sums, sweetie
1000ltr x £0.30 = £300 providing 7000kwh
1000ltr x £0.44 = £440 providing 10000 kwh
3000 kwh of LPG = £128
Total for same amount of energy using LPG £428 i.e. cheaper than oil.
Also LPG isn't subject to seasonal variations, so buying LPG in winter will cost you the same as buying in summer, which isn't true of oil....that can make the differential even more marked.'I think that God, in creating Man, somewhat overestimated his ability'..Oscar Wilde0 -
Yes, my LPG has been a consistent 30ppl for the past 3 years, no matter what time of year I buy it.
I also like the fact that LPG produces 20% less CO2 than oil.

When my LPG boiler finally dies (now 36 years old!), I will certainly be replacing it with LPG again.
Also, I live in a small village and I know 5 houses that have had their oil stolen in the past year. Where they had a tank lock fitted, the thieves just drilled a hole in the side of the tank.0
