Which would be best for a current account for £150 spends per month only. No direct debits will be on this account

Define "the best".
What's wrong with Nationwide? (Current Account.. Which?)0 -
Happy with Nationwide - Just thought it would be a bit easier if I had a second account with a different bank to distinguish0

Could you deposit £500 each month and immediately withdraw £350, to leave your £150 "spends"? If so, TSB...with the right account of course.0

Thanks YorkshireBoy
Where does the £500 come into it?0 -
See the TSB website. You're looking for the Plus account. That's why I said to choose the right account. May as well make some interest on your cash before you spend it...and cashback on it when you do!linuxpenguins wrote: »Where does the £500 come into it?0 -
That's actually a good idea..
I could perhaps do a standing order of £500 in and then £350 straight back out?
I assume £500 is the amount to be funded to get the cashback offer?0 -
Indirectly. If you don't have a Plus account you can't get cashback. If you don't fund £500 (and comply with the other account T&Cs) monthly you don't have a Plus account!linuxpenguins wrote: »I assume £500 is the amount to be funded to get the cashback offer?0 -
Ill open a plus account now..
and I plan to transfer £500 in and £350 out each month - That's okay isn't it?
Is there a timeframe as I don't get paid til 25th0 -
I believe you have to deposit £500 per calendar month (ie between 1st and end) so paying in on 25th will be OK - someone correct me if I am wrong.0

Thanks
I assume it is fairly quick and easy to open an account?0
