Sunny here but still feels cold.

Yes, Sylvia all the pics are very cheery. Thanks everyone.

Sheils hope you are pleased with hair cut. Twitter thing started because I saw a Comp for a fish slicer. Having seen comments from people saying they wanted to win one I thought I'd have a go. We already have a metal one and one for non stick. Yesterday looking at a page on my twitter I thought what is all this. I just don't like the twitter format all those # etc. So you didn't put me off I just don't like it.

    Good luck everyone.

Hi every looks like the weather is mixed from the comments this morning. Not nice here at all, very cold and looks to me as if it could snow again. Just want it to warm up now.

Good luck with the hair cut Sheils, had mine done last week but however much you say just a little bit of the length they still keep cutting LOL.

DH's DD2 is in Amsterdam waiting for a connection to Denmark to see her bf for the weekend.

Weigh in tonight :( not looking forward to it as think I may have gained what with the birthday food etc and being a bit naughty too
Busy day for you today firefly, good luck.

Thanks everyone for all your efforts with posting for us, really appreciated.

That was nice seeing the pheasant Alfie, I hear they can be very noisy but beautiful never the less.

Not much time to get a win now before the end of the month. Here's hoping for you all, good luck.

Hi everyone else, hope you are OK today.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Twitter competitions are not difficult, once you know what you are doing. I don't enter many but I won a lovely cheese hamper from Wyke Farms about 2 years ago.
When you are asked to "RT and Follow" to enter a competition, RT means Re-Tweet. Press the button at the bottom of the tweet that is two arrows moving in a squared circle. "Follow" means you are allowing that company's posts to appear on your Twitter feed of posts - a bit like friend's posts appearing on your Home page in Facebook.
You follow an organisation or individual by clicking the blue 'head and shoulders with a +' symbol button - look for the word 'Follow' alongside it.
It appears on the top right of the Twitter page for the organisation, company, etc.
I am @mcculloch29 on Twitter if anyone wants to follow.

Sun trying to come out but some rain is forecast for this morning. Looks like best of sunshine is for about 6pm!
Been sorting out (read searching all over!) for stuff we only take abroad like converter plugs, belts for cases, insurance paperwork etc. Think we have got it all now. :o
Also managed to book another 2 nights at the Village Hotel Bournemouth for September in their sale. Got a great deal with them in January sales but could only get Thurs and Fri nights so now have Tues and Wed too, not anything like as cheap but half normal price and get breakfast. Booked 2 nights at their Warrington hotel for way down too and got it for £36 including breakfast for the 2 nights!!! DH will be able to show me childhood haunts around there as I have never been. There is one of the 3 UK Transporter Bridges there which we want to see as we have seen Middlesbrough and Newport ones.

Hair cut seemed to go OK Alfie, just had dry cut so haven't washed it yet to get full effect ;)

    Love the dancing cat FF.

    Wishing everyone a lucky day.

Good afternoon all, been out for breakfast and to do shopping for weekend while we were at it.

Glad you are getting ready for your big holiday Sheils.

Hi mcc29 have copied the twitter info onto a word doc and will look at it later. I am @durhamwomen I think. I did used to do a few but was always frightened I would mess someone else's comp by retweeting as at the time some peeps were complaining about others re-tweeting theirs and disqualifying them so I stopped doing them.

Hope you are all having a good day. Going to see DD2's new puppy and put deposit down on Sunday, GD is super excited as she has wanted another one for a while. It will be trained as a Read dog and go into Schools with my DD eventually so they have to make sure it has the right personality.

Good luck for the end of the month. Think this is the first month we have had no wins :(

BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

I'm glad the Twitter info was useful. I had my very first tweet ever read out on Radio 2 by Stuart Maconie - I'm listening to him and Mark Radcliffe on 6 Music as I type.

Giddy heights which I have reached only once or twice since, though Clare Balding replied to one of mine, as have a few other authors.

I have a parcel of clothing to review to pick up from the postal depot. I knew that would happen. I was on an AgeUK shopping trip to another town.
It's a 3-4 mile round trip on the trike, TG for the trike as it would be arranging for a redelivery or getting a bus otherwise.
I love to hear of dogs going in to schools, etc. My lovely Holly, an Old English Sheepdog, would have been a wonderful PAT dog, but was born some 20 years too early. Good luck with choosing!
