Morning everyone. Bit windy here this morning but sun is out. Workmen are digging up the road again. Do not know what it is they keep finding but it looks fine to me apart them constantly digging and repairing. Hope everyone is well. Going to head out this afternoon to sort out my tubs and baskets and get the bulbs etc in.0

Evening peeps. I am completely done in. But most of tubs and hanging baskets are sorted out. Just have to finish remaining few and turn over under my living room window and plant there. Will get that done another day as have a few things to do this week. Will need a soak in the bath as back is a bit sore with constant bending. Can't go down on knees because of leg but do have a little low stool. Hope weather has stayed good for everyone. Was a bit windy here but no rain.0

Bit sunny here too rose but rain forecast for the afternoon.
Think DH is going to try and cut back lawn, he cut front ones the other day but the grass is so wet it is difficult. Did get some more cutting down done yesterday - so much to do at this time of the year.
DD was back at Uni yesterday and seemed happy to be back, she has ben doing a lot of hours in the restaurant so probably glad of the rest!
Wishing everyone a lucky day.

Morning, suns out here but rain expected later in the day. Just got my 3rd load of washing on so hope i can get it all out and dried. Well done on the Quido win sheils. I won 50p..lol so at least got something for all the time spent on it. Been up since silly o'clock with the dog. He wanted to go out and then couldn't settle. Did wonder if he could hear thunder in distance as he wanted a cuddle all the time. Never mind i will grab a nap later in day. Hope you all have a lucky day.0

Just had a nightmare trying to get across to the shop. Men digging up road are digging up part of the pavement as well. Both crossings where traffic lights are were closed off and temporary ones put up but there is no way to change them to completely stop traffic. So had to take my life in to my own hands and stand in coned of bit in the middle of the road and wait for one side of traffic to stop and other side star and make a dash for it. God knows how the parents managed this morning to get kids over to nursery. They have also shut of both bus stops so it is a long walk to next available one. So decided I am staying in today and not forking out for taxis.0

Goodness DIL is feeling brave. GD wants a cinema party for her birthday. Had to ask what that was. She is taking 10 kids to the cinema then McDonalds afterwards. GS had a football party. DS hired a pitch and a coach/referee for five aside then they had pizza and chips. Bit different from when I was their age lol.0

:hello: Hi everyone
I hope you're all in fine fettle this afternoon!
Crikes - I've had a very expensive morning! Had a routine
opticians appointment (free with NHS) but also opted for an
OCT Scan - (advanced imaging instrument which can detect
and monitor early stages of eye conditions such as age related
macular degeneration - which sadly my mum :A lost her
sight to in later years).
Thankfully the images were fine - £35.00 well spent. It was
meant to be £40.00 but I got a discount for booking the scan
at the same time as my appointment. :money:
Here's the expensive part .... £430.00 for a pair of Verifocal
glasses!:eek: I'm really looking forward to receiving
them - they will certainly stop a lot of faffing about .... but
still ...... _pale_ Good news is that they are top of the range
lenses and if I can't get on with them I'll get my money
back - seems most opticians do the same.Sun is out this morning but the sky looks awfully dark.
Every time we try to do things in the garden there is a down pour.
Still need to finish trimming the rather large bushes and need to get the grass cut before we head off again on Sunday. I'm hoping your weather stays nice Alfie since I will in your area next week. DH is hoping to get to Beaulieu.
Hope everyone has a lucky week.

'Fraid I can't guarantee nice weather sheilsit's been a bit
iffy for the last couple of days - glorious sunshine one
minute, pouring the next then back to sunshine again! Having
said that though - today has been a beautiful weather day -
spotted big black clouds earlier but thankfully they've
disappeared now.
I love Beaulieu - such a quaint village with a lot of history.
My daughter got married in the Domus (Beaulieu Abbey).
It was such a beautiful wedding (military) and they had a
guard of honour (arch of swords) at the end of the service.
Such a wonderful day. :grinheart
The only free parking in Beaulieu (I think) is Fairweather's
Garden Centre - they have a car park for customer use. When
I go with friends we're usually quite cheeky and have a cuppa/
maybe buy some plants and then wander off down the village
high street (as many others seem to do). There's also a paying
car park round the back of the village or alternatively people
park on the high street but it's fairly narrow anyway without
having vehicles parking there.
If you park in Fairweather's be mindful of the time if you go
a wandering cos they shut the gates at 5.30 every day once
they close the centre to stop the donkeys wandering in!
Fairweather's really excel themselves at Christmas with the
most beautiful displays imaginable in the garden shops.
There's always donkeys, ponies and cattle wandering around
and you have come at the right time for the autumn pannage
where piggies are let loose in the forest to eat the acorns
which are poisonous to ponies and cattle but ok for pigs.
Found a few handy sites ....

It sounds manic on your road rose! Don't blame you
for staying indoors!
Well must get on and try to catch up with comps etc.
Have a lovely rest of the day all and take care whatever
you're up to.
