Hi everyone lovely and sunny here today. Didn't have time to draw breath yesterday. As we didn't have Douglas to mind we decided to go to the pub for a nice relaxing breakfast but before we knew the family of 5 from Leeds were on the phone saying we were'nt in and joined us at the pub so that was out peaceful morning gone LOL. Having said that they took me to IKea to get workstations to equip my sewing room, came back and put them up for me tooWe got tea for 9 of us as DD2 and GD came as well. It was nearly 9pm when we were on our own again.
Couldn't get blades for overlocker but found out we can sharpen them so SonIL got them off for us, we just need to sort them and put them back and hopefully it will work better.
What a lovely Yorkie pic yesterday firfly, thank you o much.
Hope your DS's partner like he new challenging job Indie, good luck for her.
Welcome Kate nice to see you in the Inn, you are very welcome.
Hope you DS arrives OK today and doesn't cause you too much washing LOL.
Thanks for the info on the cherries Alfie, very interesting.
It was indeed sad news about tinktink Wingo and as sheils says so very young to RIP.
Sorry if I have missed anyone, have a lovely day whatever you are doing.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

We have had our cherries

when we had an allotment where we used to live
years ago we had a cherry tree in it
was there when we took the allotment on &
was a lovely addition to it & iirc it took a lot of
looking after with pruning etc & we had to cover it with
fleece in the winter,
also the birds used to come down & peck at the fruits in the
summer when they were growing so
they'd be half eaten before we had chance to get
any half decent ones
just been looking at a site that sells them & might be
tempted to get one now as they recommend to grow
in a fruit cage or have net sleeves & grease bands,
still looks like a lot of looking after for them though,
lol, might be better to just buy them readyplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
It feels warm here already so am guessing we're going to
be in for a bit of a scorcher today and tomorrow! Hopefully
ending in a storm to clear the air a little.
You're all most welcome re the cherry info.I also love
cherries (even more so when they're British).some apple & rhubarb for your pudding this afternoon Alfie

Same here! I can remember years ago Mum & Dad used to
have a cherry tree and the birdies used to swoop down and
get the fruit before we even got a look in! Greedy little
blighters!
It sounds as if you had a brilliant day yesterday sylv
including your 'nice relaxing breakfast'!Lovely of your family
running you to Ikea for workstations for your sewing room

you can sharpen the blades too re overlocker.
For the next few days it's the annual 'Swan Upping 2017' - very
interesting - here's the link:

David Barber, the Queen's Swan Marker
Apparently the poor swans have had a dreadful time of
late due to various reasons  so they're all hoping that
the census this year shows things are looking brighter for
these magnificent creatures. :T:T:T
Have a lovely and lucky start to the week all and please
take care.

Morning peeps. Warm and sunny here today. Was woken up at 4.30am this morning with that pesky seagull that keeps putting in an appearance. It really is getting annoying. Hope everyone is well. Be lucky folks.0

Lovely sunny day here. We were busy cutting down in the garden yesterday but have such a huge pile of branches and leaves I don't know whether we should do any more just now. Maybe just go for a walk before we collect DS3. Looks like he hasn't made the early start he said he would so imagine he had a night out last night to celebrate being on holiday.
Wishing everyone a lucky week.
