    Morning,

Thanks for reminding us it is St Swithin's day Alfie - bucketing down here! (supposed to be nice and sunny tomorrow and next day)

Sad about tinks - 34 is so young to die.

DS3 supposed to be coming home for 2 wks on Sun or Monday but hasn't told us which yet. Of course railways have closed down most of the line to Dumfries so he will need to get a bus part of way. More sensible just to get bus all the way there and save money but doubt he will.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Sun shining away here and forecast good so will have to get back into the garden. Never seen the shrubs growing so quickly.
Hope it dries up for you FF. Pies and crumbles would be lovely but trying to eat healthily to lose some pounds and help Dhs blood pressure. Seems to be helping blood pressure but slow on the weight!
Ds3 coming home tomorrow so that won't help either especially if he cooks, which I am meaning him to do occaisonally.

Hope you had nice day off indie and got the washing dry. For once all my washing is up to date! Bet DS3 brings load with him though.

Glad your family having a good time rose. Used to love our family holidays in the sun. Must admit I get bored after a few days now, not the same without sand castles to build, crabs to look for and kids to swim with. DH not keen on the water. DH wants to go abroad more but I love exploring the UK more and guess who books the holidays ;):D

    Have a lovely day everyone.

EDIT - Forgot to say I won a Marsden's T-shirt on their daily this morning :)

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok. It's another bright and beautiful day
here though must admit starting to feel a little muggy
again ... could really do with a bit more rain - only
    during the night though! :p

I bet your family are having a magical time on their
holiday rose - how long are they away for?

    mer7.gif

Talking of magical .... did I hear words 'apples & rhubarb
here so guess there's some pie making to be done'
    ? :p

    graphics-applepie-617687.gif

    Sounds scrumptious fire**fly!

Very well done on winning a Marsden's T-shirt this morning
sheils. :T I agree - there are so many beautiful places here
in the UK to visit and explore. Hope DS3 has a lovely time
at yours and yes ... I would definitely get him to cook! :D
Hi I am new. My name is Kate. waves

 Hi and welcome Kate. It's so lovely to 'see' new
faces in The Inn .... we're a friendly bunch and love to chat
about this, that and everything!

Oh nearly forgot .... it's drapeaugb.gif'National Cherry Day UK' today ...

The Romans first brought cherries from Persia and introduced
them here in Britain. Some even say that ancient roads can be
traced from the spots where marching Romans spat out their
seeds and caused a new tree to grow!

But over the last fifty years we’ve seen a decline in our cherry
orchards. Which means we now import around 95% of all cherries!

So the main goal of National Cherry Day is to raise awareness
about the need to maintain our traditional orchards! If everyone
eats one home-grown cherry each, the future of British cherries
will be looking up in no time!

    http://www.national-awareness-days.com/july/national-cherry-day/

Well must get on .... have a lovely Sunday all whatever you're
    up to. :)
