Hi everyone,

Have been having a lovely time, ending up with a trip into Liverpool to see the tall ships and events to do with the armed forces. Met up with sister in law there and had a meal at Bella Italia (using 50% off mains voucher) Will be heading home tomorrow for a little while!
Hope everyone is well. Been trying to keep up.

Sorry everyone been missing for a day or two! Everything is so much busy now we have moved back to family I struggle to keep up LOL. Been a busy weekend with family coming all weekend not that we are clomplaining it just makes it hard to get the day to day things done.

Talking of rhubarb firefly we were at OH's DD's in Leeds today and they pulled a load of rhubarb and did a lovely crumble and custard which followed a chicken curry, a very naughty tea for me though.

Big hugs for anyone needing one.

Glad you are having a lovely time away Sheils.

End of month is creaping on us fast so good luck everyone.

Looks like we have another beautiful day here - may have
to do a rain dance later to drum up a little bit of wet
weather to give the land a decent drink. It's all looking
very dry and desperate for water!

Sounds as if you've had a very busy time sorting out your herb

Sounds like you've been mega busy too sylv with your lovely
family. Yes - the end of the month will be here soon - the
time just seems to whiz by! :eek:

Did I hear the mention of rhubarb/rhubarb crumble from

Morning peeps. Hope everyone is well. Don't seem to have much time to myself at the moment . Hopefully will have a peacefull day today. Weather not too bad here this morning. Bright sky and no rain. Need to do some shopping and have not decided whether to head to supermarket or do an online.

late in today as had to take DH to hospital app.
& was waiting ages for taxi to bring us home,
had to phone back twice asking them where they were :eek:
won't be using them again if they don't get
their act together lol,

Home again shopping sorted. Goodness it is warm today. Love the sunshine but hate the heat lol. Bit of a cotradiction. Got fan on so will be ok. Off out in to courtyard in a min we have a whisper of wind so should keep me a bit cooler. Another contradiction Sun tan is building up. Thankfully I tan easily but always use Factor 30. Tried 50 but have never seen any difference as to how quickly tan appears. Tan is a defence for your skin Melanin seems to kick in very quickly for me even although I am a Scot. Blonde/fair hair and blue eyes sis has red hair and loads of freckles so she avoids the sun unless we are abroad and I slather her in factor 50 then she can have about an hour in her bathing suit.

Afternoon, just got back from food shopping. It's hot here today, didn't realise it was going to be so hot. I did hang some towels out last night and they dried overnight. Have another load of washing out now.Going to do some gardening later once it cools down a little. Hope you all have a lucky day.

It has been a pretty wet night and set to remain for most of the day I think. Did hang out all our clothes yesterday and they are nearly all dry so just dreaded ironing to do today. All undies etc wet into drier so they are all away in drawers already. DD coming up for dinner tonight so will get caught up and hear about her new placement. At least she doesn't have to catch buses now and gets home at a decent time although she is finding driving in Dumfries stressful coming home in rush hour as there are so many traffic lights etc on the route trying to get out of town.
