Yep.. and it's possible that when Tesco re open the offer it's for existing bank customers only.
He can, of course, do both.0 -

Thanks. I've already got a Nationwide Flexdirect and a Flexclusive Regular Saver.0 -

Just checked with Tesco and I was advised to contact them next Friday (24th Feb 2017) to request a second current account at the 3% rate to add to the one I recently opened. They hope to be allowing new applications by then but I wouldn't hold your breath. Tesco is suffering from a deluge of customers for this new account which is why they put a temporary hold on new applications. Good luck.0

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/nia for example lists 173 Acts passed into NI legislation this century - I have no idea whether any of them impact on financial services provision though but would imagine that Tesco Bank's corporate legal services will have examined the situation pretty carefully before deciding not to participate in that market (and thereby miss out on incremental revenue streams)....0 -
I have to say, I just called customer service to check they had received my identity documents and at what stage my original application was at, and was dealt with extremely efficiently & courteously.
They had all the information to hand, apologised for the delay in completing my application and gave me good advice as to what to do about a 2nd account (wait for applications to re-open, before you ask).
So a big thumbs-up to Tesco Bank CS, I should have my application confirmed in the next 4 or 5 days.0
