Can I find out which company acquired CCJs against me?

I recently tried to open a new bank account - just a standard account with no overdraft or benefits and was shocked at being refused this.

I decided to check my credit file for the first time via checkmyfile and discovered I have 2 CCJs issued against me!?!?!

One of them was issued 5 years ago and the other one was issued this month. Both CCJs were issued against (or to) old addresses.

Can I find out who issued them?

    Hi

If it says which court the CCJ was made by and shows a reference number you can contact the court directly. They should be able to give you more information on the claim.

If not, you can get the court name and reference number by searching on www.trustonline.org.uk, which costs £4 per search.

Or an easier way would be to sign up for Noddle (Call Credit's free service) and ClearScore (Equifax's free service) and see the details on your credit reports from there.

Don't waste your money on checkmyfile, their info is usually out of date and nothing that you can't see for free yourself anyway.

Noodle doesn't show the details of a CCJ other than the reference number, nor does ClearScore. The OP is asking if they can find out details of the CCJ's so they can look into where they are from, and the only way to do this is by following the information given by debtline above.

Or put another way, in this third-world country in which we live, you've got to pay to find out who you owe money to.
