    Hi

I just opened an HSBC U18 account based on the recommendation here.
However it appears that they do not allow the current account to be registered with PAYM, but they do permit PAYM payments, when I'd have thought it would be the other way round!

Also the filling out of the app. form was a nightmare in branch, with it demanding to know typical paying in and spending methods and amounts etc. etc. I guess it's all due to money laundering regs, but that along with the convoluted ID requirements (e.g. only accepting an NHS letter that's <4 months old as proof of address) made what should be a simple and exciting process very off-putting to a junior!
