I was wondering if there was anyway to remove the o2 branding on my Samsung U600? The phone is unlocked, and I'm using my Orange sim, but on the main screen on the bottom right it says "o2 Active", is there anyway to get rid of this? Thanks.

Is it a branding message or a softkey shortcut?
If it's a shortcut to o2 Active, then you can customise it to be a shortcut to somewhere else (eg messages)
Go to:
Menu> and selectSettings → Phone settings → Shortcuts.0 -
It's a softkey shortcut as far as I know. Under phone settings/shortcuts as far as I can see the only thing you can change is the 4 shortcuts for the centre button, not the top right button.0

you would have to debrand the phone by putting samsungs firmware/software on it.
i dont have a clue on how to debrand samsungs, but a local shop/market stall should be able to do it for you0 -
when debranding the D900 the imei would change to ??????? leaving the d900 with no service,. of course their is a way around this but they are tricky and long winded,
so i dont advise any one to debrand any of the newer samsungs with out some type of background in flashing/techie,.0
