Printer which takes cheapest ink?

    Canon are usually regarded as generally having the cheapest cartridges.

    Yep or if you could afford it or through DSA [if OP's son gets it], could go for the Kodak one which when I searched a few months ago was the cheapest in terms of refil, though expensive initally.

    Epson have been the worst in my experiance, but each to their own

    My son is off to Uni in the next few days and I have just thought that he will need a printer for his PC. I have found that the cost of ink, over the years, is much more than the purchase price of the printer, so I was wondering which printer would be best to buy from the point of view of cheapest ink?

    In 2013 that would be a Kodak. Print quality is really outstanding too.
