  • I am sure the official photographer will be happy that there will be one less person standing behind him/her snapping the scenes their have just put a load of work in setting up.

Within 6 months, consumer law deems the fault to be inherent.

By the way, the camera has been carefully stored in a huge padded camera bag with extra protection added. It has never had a knock or a bump since I have had it and it is treated with the utmost care at all times.

It's an inherent fault and the retailer should replace this camera.

Op can I ask have you ever travelled with the camera stored in the boot of your car? Or used it on a damp day? Or has it been used in any humid conditions?

    I think she's gone ;)
  • If the OP's knowledge of cameras is as good as their knowledge of consumer law then it's probably user error rather than camera error.

When I worked on an IT helpdesk many years ago, we coded user errors as ID 10 T faults.

We used to refer to them as PEBKAC. Problem exists between keyboard and chair.

We still use that now where I work but not just for general minor user error things it's saved for the ones where you wonder how they even manage to dress themselves let alone attempt to use technology
  • This is going to be hilarious when Currys come back and tell her the damage is a result of abuse.

If that happened, the odds of the OP actually admitting that are probably about the same as me winning the Euromillions jackpot tonight and the UK lottery jackpot tomorrow.
