I've had up to 27Mbps although obviously it varies by location. It's not heavily capped like Giffgaff but you don't get EE's double data super duper faster than the speed of light speeds.
  • Sounds like if you want a decent speed you have to avoid the virtual networks ie EE, Vodafone etc.

Somehow EE is fastest most intermittently...

I get around that on TalkMobile which is 3G only. I honestly struggle to see how anyone could need faster mobile internet...

The only downside is that I won't get coverage in a few areas that are exclusively covered by Vodafones 4G, not that this is a problem I'm encountered yet but they do exist.

So at least with a 4G service you know you are getting full network coverage, and if you are getting 20Mbps+ I can't see you having any issues.

You've never tried Giffgaff then :( and that's on 4G (allegedly)

I did say if. The point I was making was that for most users the difference they will notice between a good 3G and 4G service is minimal. My personal view is that people are way too obsessed with internet speeds. But that access to 4G can have coverage benefits.

I was briefly with GiffGaff, why anyone uses them is a little beyond me, they aren't that cheap and the internet is terrible. Not to mention O2's ridiculous lack of delivery reports.

The saying you get what you pay for rings very much true with GiffGaff. Personally avoid at all costs.

Shrimply, 02 do delivery reports, you have to put the code *0# at the begining of your text message

That's not doing delivery reports, it's a hack that you then have to remember to put at the start of every message.

They should have made changes that allowed normal delivery reports like every other provider years ago. For me it's a deal breaker
