Samsung S5 app auto updates question

quite often (too often for my liking) i get the playstore notification that a load of apps need updating. normally i just select 'update all' and let it do it's thing but there is now 1 app that i do not want to update as the new version doesn't work for me so i want to continue with the older version.

other than select each update that i do want 1 by 1 (which is a time consuming faff), is there any way to select all the ones i want to update and leave the others, listed as having updates available, alone?

many thanks.

Is there a reason why your apps are not generally set to auto-update?

As far as I know you can't do exactly what you want, but you can have auto-update over wi-fi set as the default then set individual apps not to auto-update which would greatly reduce the list that you had to deal with manually.

i like the older opera mini. same as you, i dont want to upgrade it as the new one is naf.

only quickest way is to do the update all then go into the opera mini and hit the X. leaving the others to update.

also, get app 'easy backup' this copys your apk installers to memory card. so if you do overwrite, you can recover via the backed-up version.

That'll do me. Excellent tip and workaround of what I need.
    Many thanks.
  • Yes in Google play store provide all update one by one . The app you doesn't want to update then click or stop option for the update.

You can switch off 'auto update' on the particular apps. When you have the app displayed by tapping it in the list of 'my apps and games', there are three dots in the top right corner. Touch this and untick the 'auto update'. This app then asks for permission to update, which you don't give, while the others update automatically.
