If one has never been abused in an internet forum due to his/her/their gender identity, then I can understand why it wouldn't matter.
I'd gladly opt for the MYOB.:heart2::coffee::heart2:0 -

I can only say I've never noticed anyone being abused on this website due to their gender. Can't speak for other sites, though.0 -
Born male. Still have my bits to prove it.I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0

I can understand this.
If someone talks about their wife - then I instantly assume it's a man speaking.
If someone talks about their husband - then I instantly assume it's a woman speaking.
A couple of times that turned out not to be the case. But I had no way of knowing
....and I'm someone that often carefully says "she or he" where others refer to "he". More often I try not to bring the sex of a person into it at all and will say "They did" (meaning one person) - rather than "he did" or "she did".
I am going to be so glad when we just have totally gender-neutral terms used regularly. It will help to call everyone "ze" rather than "he" or "she" for instance. Using the word "they" (as I often do at present - in order not to reveal sex) feels like a word that should really only be used for more than one person - but it's the best I can do with the English language as it stands at present.:rotfl:0 -

...and I apparently am a "cis female".
I didn't know what the heck that was when someone in the course of transitioning referred to me that way. They (see - I'm using the word "they" again carefully) told me that a "cis female" is someone that was born into a female body and is perfectly okay with (or happy about) that and accepts their body being that sex.
Personally - I'm not basically bothered what sex my body is. I regard myself as a person and I presume it's my hormones and/or being pretty conventional in some ways that have caused me to be attracted to the opposite sex only. That suits me - it makes life easier for me.
In other respects - I really couldnt care less what sex my body is - except the odd few times where I notice there is still a bit of sex discrimination going on and I'm getting treated less favourably. Whichever sex it was - I'd just accept that and look for the advantages to having a body that sex. Yep....I got my State Pension earlier than I otherwise would and the opposite sex couldnt make me be a parent against my will.0 -
Just for the record, last time I looked I was definitely male.
Mrs Sleazy and our cat can vouch for me on this.0 -
I must admit that I'm quite lazy about filling in personal info on forums and tend to avoid filling in "real" info like date of birth, sex etc and normally give fake details if compulsory as ID theft is always a possibility when some sites say they can use your info for commercial purposes (eg Facebook)0
